Newamstar Flexible Water Packaging Technology Helps MGI Group Achieve Product Upgrading
Bangladesh, a Muslim country that is located in Indian subcontinent, a country that once upon a time was East Pakistan, a country that sits at river mouth, a country full of rickshaws, a country that has the highest population density in the world, and a country with pure and sincere smiles…
MGI Group, is a rising giant in Bangladesh, which is built along Meghna River and also named after this river. From year 1976 till now, MGI Group has been growing into one of the biggest and leading conglomerates in Bangladesh. Consist of around 32 subsidiaries in about 30 industries, like FMCG, cement, daily necessities, chemicals, edible oil, fishery, poultry, transportation, and ship building etc, MGI Group has totally around 15000 employees nowadays. Its purified water brand “Fresh” is one of the best selling bottled water products in whole Bangladesh.
In summer of 2014, representatives from MGI high management visited Newamstar headquarter in China. That was first meeting between MGI and Newamstar. Company environment, good quality machineries, rigorous and experienced engineering team have deeply impressed the guests. Since after that, several rounds discussions and communications have been conducted between MGI and Newamstar technical and commercial teams. Hard work pays off. In year 2016, two parties have reached to an agreement for procurement of one 36,000BPH purified water combiblock line and one 36,000BPH CSD combiblock line, marking the start of long term cooperation between MGI and Newamstar.

On a clear and sunny day, Newamstar technical team visit MGI factory first time. We “escaped” from crowded Dhaka city and headed to MGI factory which is around 2 hours driving distance away. We were all attracted by beautiful tropical scenery outside. This is really a richly endowed and teeming land with lovely people and fertile fields. Its vast expanse of fields which normally have the color of emerald green becomes a sea of golden yellow at the time of harvest. And for MGI and Newamstar, this factory visit was also of fruitful harvest.
On 14th October, 2016, during state visit to Bangladesh, Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, has published a signed article named “China-Bangladesh Cooperation Will Bear Golden Fruits”. It mentions in this article that “Bangladesh is a fascinating and promising land and a land filled with hope. Both China and Bangladesh are developing countries with a huge population. Our national conditions have a lot in common and our development goals are well-aligned. I believe with the joint efforts of our two peoples, China-Bangladesh cooperation will bear even more golden fruits.”
The seeds of friendship and cooperation we are sowing today will certainly take root and sprout, and yield positive results.
